Rev. Michael Skor
Apart from his love for Jesus, Michael places a high priority and passion on his relationship with his beautiful wife Kiley and their two energetic boys, Brendon and Ian. Together, they share a love for hiking, camping and making memories Michael loves pizza, pecan pie, technology and Dr. Pepper. As a family, their aim is to serve wherever God leads in order to help people discover the real God.
In a single word, Michael’s calling is “develop.” His life is lived with a driving passion that stems from his life verse found in Colossians 1:28-29. He is passionately convinced that God created us to discover a life-transforming relationship with Christ.
As Lead Pastor of New Hope, Michael’s job is to cultivate a culture of Christ-centered people who will serve at the epicenter of a movement that serves communities for Jesus across Eastern Montana and North Dakota. His heart for technology, creativity, teaching and prayer act as high values as he leads the New Hope team to accomplish their mission.

Assistant Pastor
Rev. Chris Swarthout
Hi I am Pastor Chris, I have been at New Hope since July 2008. My main focus at New Hope is Quest Kids. I have been involved in many of the ministries including: youth, preaching, Group Life, family ministries and helping others get connected with New Hope. I love being a part of the local church and what God has done and is doing at New Hope. My wife’s name is Rachel and I am so blessed to have her in my life and as a part of my ministry. We have had the opportunity to minister a few different places including Oregon and the midwest. I grew up in Iowa and am a huge University of Iowa fan, but more than that, I love spending time with my wife and girls no matter where we are.
They are amazing and I feel truly blessed. I also enjoy a variety of different activities including: traveling, food, golf, mtn. biking, basketball, bowling, movies, music, etc…

Rev. Matt Seaton
Matt has responsibilities in Group Life, pastoral care, young adult
leadership, liaison to the trustees, and external focus leadership.
He has a passion to join in the building of God's Kingdom by
ministering to the local church through teaching, preaching,
and passionately sharing God's love to the surrounding community.
Some favorite things are: reading, movies, music, corn beef and
cabbage, sushi, rice and beans, and wings.

Pastor over Youth/Worship
Pastor Shaun Breiland
Shaun's focus at New Hope is in youth ministry. He has his bachelor's
degree in youth ministry and Biblical studies. He also has a heart for the
lost, enjoys talking to people about life, and seeing others come to know
Jesus as real and relevant in their lives. He, his wife Marta and son
Hudson moved here from Spearfish, SD. He likes his bikes, guitars and
being outside doing lots of outdoor sports. He also enjoys a good steak
with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob.
