In a single word, it's all about connection. At New Hope we believe that small groups can help people connect with each other, with God, and with opportunities to reach out to the Williston community.
In our small groups, we want to provide a safe, supportive setting where God's Spirit can transform lives. Spiritual growth involves real truth, transparency, accountability, understanding, prayer support, and loving one another with the love of Christ. These values are at the core of small group ministry at New Hope.
We believe that Ephesians 4:15-16 can become a reality in our relationships with one another in our small groups:
..."speaking the truth in love, we will in all things
grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ.
From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every
supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love,
as each part does its work. "
We believe in small groups because we view them as an ideal place for people to develop their spiritual gifts as they minister to one another and embrace the call to leadership. We desire to see 100% of our people get connected to a small group and begin to identify with and live out the God-ordained purposes for which each of us was created-evangelism, ministry, discipleship, fellowship and worship. What a perfect setting for becoming all that God intended us to be!
